Ricardo Soares, Al Ahly’s football first team head coach, praised our youngsters after achieving an impressive 4-0 win over Ceramica Cleopatra FC in the final fixture of the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday at Al Ahly WE Al Salam Stadium. 

In his post-match press conference, Soares reflected on the team’s performance ever since his arrival and thanked the fans for their constant support.

“We’ve performed an analysis on the whole team ever since coaching Al Ahly and realized that the team is not defensively solid enough. Moreover, we noticed that there are a lot of good players who suffer from fatigue.”

“Therefore, we took the right decision of resting the majority of the senior players and to play with our youngsters instead.”

“I’m very happy with what I achieved with such a young group of players. At times, we only had 15 players ready for the game and that’s why I would like to thank them on the past period.”

“Finally, I would like to thank the fans for their support over the last period.”
